
Zambia Correctional Service (ZCS) Commissioner General Fredrick Chilukutu has implored his counterpart from the Rwanda Correctional Service(RCS) Juvenal Marizamunda to market what Zambia has to offer in the tourism sector.
The request by Mr Chilukutu comes after the RCS delegation was treated to a thrill of the mighty Victoria Falls and Mukuni Big 5 safaris in the Southern Province of Zambia earlier today.
The ZCS Commissioner General has also thanked RCS for having entrusted ZCS to train some of its officers in the last training in the 2021 Cadet Course.
Mr Chilukutu also emphasized the need to fully actualize the MoU on Corporation by the two Services that was signed in December 2020.
Meanwhile, Marizamunda has officially invited the ZCS for a training program as well as a benchmarking tour in areas such as the use of Biogas for cooking purposes in Correctional Centers that is said to be efficient and cost effective in Rwanda.
The RCS Commissioner General is accompanied by Commissioner John Bosco Kabanda, Training Commandant and Superintendent Alex Mugisha, Director Cooperation and Peace Support operations.
The team has since benchmarked in areas of the Open Air Prison system, Correctional Farms and Industries, Training as well as best engagements on Public Private Partnerships to benefit both the investor and government.
The ZCS and RCS Commissioner Generals have since sealed the 5 day working interactions with gift exchange at Taj Pamozi in LUSAKA this evening.
